Plano, TX – deadline: October 15, 2007

The Public Art Committee of the City of Plano, Texas seeks to commission an original, exterior, site-specific, functionally, philosophically, and artistically integrated space for the Downtown Fire Station. Its purpose is to be educational, accessible, and a focal point for community engagement. A berm exists in this location and is to remain. As a station that operates 24/7, lighting should be a significant element of the art/space. The artwork must be imaginative, durable, and low maintenance. The budget for this project is $63,000.
